Poiseboxx

While sitting in the waiting area of the docs office I started flipping through D Magazine. I realized it is going to be a good Dallas resource for me...funny how the things you reject at first can later be seen in a new light. Note to self: Always keep an open mind.

Thinking about our break to "find Poiseboxx" kind of made me sad today as I read over our original mission statement....."for women to realize thier dreams". I really felt Poiseboxx would help me to realize my dreams somehow. The thought of it possibly not coming to existance add discouragement to my already confused state. Poiseboxx represented hope for me...hope I wish to pass on to others.

The Color Indigo

Indigo.

This name jumped out at me one day while thinking about a Poiseboxx signature color.

I went searching online to remind my eyes of the actual color.

I went further within to learn why the name came to me. I searched for the color's significance to see if I could relate it to our reason for creating Poiseboxx for the world.

I found this:

Indigo - the color of the 3rd chakra

*

A well-developed third chakra empowers us to live our best lives, reduce inertia and take action toward our goals. It is our storage battery for personal strength.

*

Primary strengths of the 3rd chakra:

Self-esteem, self-respect, self-discipline, ambition, the ability to generate action, and the ability to handle a crisis; the courage to take risks, generosity, ethics and strength of character.

I found an instant connection with the color and our desire to create Poiseboxx.

I am reminded yet again that there are no coincidences. In fact, our understanding of the word "coincidence" is completely off for it relates to the mathematical use of the term "coincide" where two angles are described to fit perfectly together.

Coincide: To occupy the same place; to correspond in nature, character, or function.

So, there you have it.

Poiseboxx.

It takes time

Nobody sees a flower- really- it is so small it takes time- we haven't time- and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time. -Georgia O'Keeffe

I read this quote today and think about building a business.
It takes time. Patience. Persistence. Fearlessness. Courage.

I've learned first-hand about the courage it takes to go against the crowd.

We all talk about wanting to get out of the "Rat Race" or for the modernists, "The Matrix." Deciding to do your own thing is very risky, yet I think it is the essence of human nature.

We have all fallen far from our nature. And why? How? What has caused us to stray?
You can decide those factors for yourself, because our experiences differ in some respects, but most times, they are the same. We simply experience those differences at varying times, but the lessons are the same.

Our true nature calls to us. You know her very well...that creative, original one within. She calls to us saying just as Janet Jackson once sang, "Come back to me...I'm begging you, please...come back to me...I want you to...come back to me..."

Ideal Growth

We have been shopping around for a web design firm to take on our Poiseboxx project and build the site.

It's taken two meetings with two separate potential web guys to reach our third meeting, scheduled for this Saturday with Mr. Kollar of Idealgrowth to conclude that he just may be the winner of our business.

It's the first design company that all three of us agree on; relating to price and quality of work, we all feel this sense of excitement to get this project off the ground and to let Idealgrowth help us do just that.

We'll see what the next few days have in store for us.

Poiseboxx has officially been incorporated, a business account has been set up, three partners/ female entrepreneurs named Frankie, Veronica and Cheryl have come together to start something that will allow them to express who they truly are and our hope is to encourage other women to follow suit.

We have lots of research, contacts and work ahead of us, but I see nothing but fun.
